Real estate and construction are separate engagements

Real estate brokerage services and general contracting services are provided by different businesses under separate agreements. Homer Reno LLC is a construction company. It is not a real estate brokerage and it does not provide brokerage services.

Hiring one does not require hiring the other. There is no bundled fee, no combined price, and no arrangement where the availability or terms of one service depend on your using the other. Each engagement has its own written agreement, its own scope, and its own compensation.

You are free to use another contractor, another broker, or both, at any point.

Real estate brokerage services

Real estate brokerage services are not currently offered or advertised through this site. Nothing here is an offer to represent you in the purchase, sale, or lease of real property, and nothing here should be read as a claim to hold an active Illinois real estate licence.

The investor discussion offered on this site covers construction scope, cost, feasibility, and project execution. It is not brokerage representation and does not include listing, showing, negotiating, or procuring property on your behalf.

When brokerage services become available, this site will identify the licensee and the sponsoring brokerage as Illinois law requires.

Construction licensing and insurance

Homer Reno LLC is an Illinois limited liability company. Its City of Chicago general contractor licence is not represented as issued on this site, and no licence number is published here. Current licensing status is confirmed directly before any agreement is signed.

Licensing and permitting requirements differ by municipality. Homer Reno is not represented as licensed or registered in every Illinois municipality. Where a jurisdiction requires a separate contractor licence, registration, or bond, that requirement is confirmed before work is scheduled there.

Permit fees, plan review, and inspection costs are governed by the authority having jurisdiction and are handled as project costs unless an agreement says otherwise.

Homer Reno LLC carries $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate commercial general liability. A current certificate of insurance is available on request.

Ownership interest in featured projects

The rehabilitation shown on this site (South Shore, Chicago) is owned by an entity controlled by Segun Zubair, with Homer Reno LLC acting as the general contractor. It is his own project, not third-party client work.

It is presented as a record of how the work is run, not as a client reference.

Estimates, schedules and investment outcomes

Budgets, schedules, scopes, and after-repair value discussions are estimates based on the information available when they are prepared. Conditions found once demolition begins, municipal review, inspection results, material pricing, and subcontractor availability all change outcomes. Nothing on this site is a guaranteed price, a guaranteed completion date, or a promise that a project will be free of change orders.
